Charity Information
Mental Health issues are overwhelming our communities, impacting individuals and families with sometimes life changing results.  These are our family, our friends, our co-workers.  At times life can be overwhelming, stigma keeps us from seeking help and when help is sought, there are limited options available.

A family in our Cape community who has been greatly affected by PTSD, Depression and Suicidal Ideation in their own home will be the receipient of funds from the 2023 race.  The recipient is a Veteran who spent years supporting others, putting the needs of others ahead of their own, found themself hiding their own pain and sinking into sadness and depression.  The resulting job loss and increased medical expenses have added more difficulty to this situation.  This family has been through alot and for that reason to shield their children we will be keeping their names anonymous.

Mental Health Matters and for many years it wasn't spoken about openly. We hope one day everyone feels safe to ask for help. You are not alone but we know first hand many feel as if they are.
